Hollybrook Sports Cars Supercar Dream Rides 2011
This has to be the Most Fun way to give to Charity
Many thanks again to Plum Tyndall and all at RPM for giving us the opportunity to sponsor the Dream Rides on the Sunday of the Hillsborough International Oyster Festival now for the 3rd Year.
The chosen charity this year was RNLI
http://www.rnli.org.uk/
This year we had a new venue, Sprucefield Park & Ride, which I’m sure everyone will agree proved to be perfect for the event:
Bigger, Better, Louder….
As usual with tickets being bought for the Dream Rides (£5 or £10) everything suddenly burst into life around 2pm
and also the Super Duper Car Auction got underway.
An unbelievable line up of Ferraris and Rally cars ensured some fierce competition with some bids in excess of £100 and closer to £200.
Even our Very Special Visitor - THE STIG - was taking part in the bidding game.
The star of the show had to be the MkII Ford Escort!!
Thank you again to all our staff for all the hard work on the run up, and the early start on a Sunday morning
also to both Patrick & Matt our drivers on the day.
and to Patrick and Jenny for the delicious breakfast.
and to all our customers who came along to offer support and join in the craic.
Can’t wait to Next Year.
Come along to a really fun family day out.
The Final Total for this year is in excess of £5,500… many thanks to everyone for their genorsity.
And especially all the owners of these Super Cars, without you this wouldn’t happen.

After a long wait since our last outing in November, the first round of the
Beginners’ Autotest Championship finally arrived.
The previous day’s James Pringle International Autotest was enough to whet the appetite of any wannabe autotester.
Sunday’s event was well subscribed with a lot of the usual suspects and a few newfaces willing to give it a go!
Thankfully the rain that was promised stayed away (mostly) with only a few small showers to help keep the dust down and the sunburn to a minimum (especially for those of us who wished we had more hair!!)
The day began with a typical flurry of activity getting pylons in place and floury lines drawn as competitors desperately tried to learn the tests. The partially loose surface brought a welcome surprise to many of the drivers and would hopefully make it easier for beginners to display their
autotesting prowess! ………..
Overall honours went to Jamie McMillan in his rapid Nova.
Big thanks have to go to John McCluskey for the use of the venue.
Finally, the biggest thanks of the day have to go to the organisers and marshals …….
Without their input, events like this would not be able to take place.
Roll on Round two!!!!! at Woodside on the evening of Wednesday, 22nd June.

It was the most enjoyable day from start to finish, although NI weather did make an appearance and at one stage we had over 10 people sharing a gazebo with a 1957 MGA!!
The fun kicked off around 1pm with the Dream rides and also the Super Duper Car Auction.
You could choose from Ferraris, Porsches, Nobles, Maseratis, TVR’s, Rally Cars….
Thank you again to all our staff for all the hard work on the run up,
also to both Davy & Mike our drivers on the day - it was a hard job!!
and to all our customers who came along to offer support and join in the craic.
We’re already looking forward to next year.
The Final Total for this year was a staggering £5,800… many thanks to everyone for their genorsity.

Hollybrook Sports Cars Supercar Dream Rides ‘09
Many thanks to Alan Tyndall and all at RPM for giving us the opportunity to sponsor and be part of the Dream Rides at the Oyster Festival in Hillsborough.
The day was a typical NI summer day - Wind & Rain!!
However this did not in anyway dampen the fun and enthusiasm on the day.
The auction was going strong throughout the day, with some paying £100 to have the ride in their dream car.
The final total raised for the charity was in excess of £5,500…

Porsche GT3 Cup
As part of its’ overall strategy to develop the business Hollybrook is sponsoring local Lisburn driver Robin Titterington, and his Porsche GT3 cup car, by assisting him to compete in the Irish Porsche Open Championship as well as selected UK rounds of Porsche Club GB Open Race series and the GT Cup. After winning championships in hill climbs and sprints, in a variety of Porsches, Robin now concentrates solely on circuit racing; finishing 2nd in last year’s Irish Open race series in his older 996.
